Excellent teaching.
When I was an early teen, my biological dad told me that if I want something in this life I have to get it myself and not to expect anyone one else to 'hand' it to me.
Later in my adult life I met many who would try to manipulate me to give to them material things that I worked so hard to earn which they wanted or needed. In a worldy way I denied their request. Selfish, uncaring, are only two words that came back at me with rejection.
I had to learn the difference between greed or envy wanting from me and a real genuine 'I don't know what to do' need and the latter would receive from me if at all possible.
I had difficulty in asking Father or Jesus for anything because of the depth of the effect which my dad's statment had on me.
Then it took years after becoming saved that I learned how much God does help us and provide for us. False guilt set in because I thought I was being 'weak'.
Now I think I know the healthy expectation and self reliance for some things.
Thank you for being who you are.

This is so much better the second time listening. I heard many things because my life is less busy during the winter break and I can really focus for the second listening. Part of my testimony is being healed from emotional neediness. Talking about swinging the pendulum. Then I became overly confident, some would say, to the point of arrogance, but at the time I really didn't care what they thought because I knew my confidence was not because of me, but God. Now, I am at a place where I am trying to balance myself. I think by going through some challenging experiences in the not too distance past brought some needed humility in my life. But what I am reminded of in this video is that there is a difference between humility, self pride and being prideful of who my God is and what he has done in my life and speaking confidently what thus says the LORD. Now, I know that in the past when people often told me I was too strong, perhaps that was not the case, but that was the boldness of the prophetic annointing and speaking forth the truth. Other strong people followed me, but the ones who were weak didn't because they couldn't take my message and confidence. I have to constantly judge myself to be a respectful, humble representative of God and being bold at the same time, and not being debative or argumentative because my natural self likes to prove my point. Say what I need to say from God, be quiet and go on and whoever does not receive it then that is there problem. Okay, enough said already!
